Early morning rollover crash sends two to hospital

Early Sunday morning, shortly after midnight, Adams County deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover crash on Payson Road about one quarter mile east of South 36th St.

Authorities said an eastbound vehicle, driven by 20-year-old Cameron Price of Louisiana, Missouri, attempted to pass a vehicle when it almost struck an oncoming car.

Price attempted to get back into his lane and lost control causing the vehicle to go air born and roll several times.

Price and the passenger, 21-year-old Tyler Rumple of Versailles, Missouri, were ejected and taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries.

Neither the Price nor Rumple were wearing seat belts. Price was charged with not having a valid drivers license, illegal lane usage and pending charges for driving under the influence.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Department, Quincy Police Department and Tri-Township Fire Department were on scene.

The crash is still under investigation.
