Culver-Stockton’s Mike Johnson Reflects On Game Winning Buzzer Beater Against Peru State

College basketball fans across the Tri-States are still buzzing  about Culver-Stockton guard Mike Johnson’s are

still buzzing about Johnson’s buzzer beating shot on Saturday in Canton.

The Wildcats senior delivered the game-winning shot right before the buzzer against 11th ranked Peru State

at Charles Field House.  After the ball tickled the twine to give the ‘Cats the dramatic 77-75 victory, the CSC

faithful stormed the court and  celebrated in grand style.

48 hours after the win, Johnson took timeout to reflect on the now infamous shot heard across the “Show Me

State.” Johnson stated,  “I was hoping we weren’t in that position but everyday we practice and I practice to be

out in moments like that to have the opportunity to finish the game off.”

The Jackson, Michigan product went on to add, “being put in that position is a players dream, and you know I

was happy to be put in that position at that time.”
