Monroe City Sends Three Football Players to Next Level

Across the river in the “Show Me State” today three members of the Monroe City panthers football family also signed national letters of intent today to the delight of head coach David Kirby and his staff.

Standout lineman Jon Saxbury and wide out Zach Osborn will both be headed to Truman State and in fact they are  hoping to be roommates there.

Offensive lineman Jadon Underhill will be joining Gary Bass’s program at Quincy

Saxbury said, “The vibe there that I got was really great. The coaches were just fantastic. They were really genuine. They wanted to win. I got the same feel from Truman that I got from Monroe and it really just felt like home.”

Osborn said, “I went up there and watched one of there games and I just really like their program and I talked to their coach and he was really cool so it kind of dragged me in.”

Underhill said, “It’s great you know. Playing close to home, playing with a great program. Coach Bass is a great coach. I just can’t wait to get started man.”
