A democratic candidate in the 7th ward aldermanic primary race is pledging support for his opponent.

Justin Crouch said due to health concerns he can no longer run for the 7th ward seat.

He said you will still see his name on the ballot next Tuesday but he wants you to vote for his opponent Benjamin Uzelac instead.

“If he wins, everything that I wanted to achieve also gets achieved,” said Crouch. “A younger more liberal minded person on there with ideas and he’s got them and he’s ready to do more research to find out more about them.”

Republican Terri Heineke currently holds the seat. She is seaking re-election in the April general election.
