Prep Athlete of the Week Ballot – Week 26

It’s time to place your vote for Week 26 of the WGEM SportsCenter and Hannibal Regional Prep Athlete of the Week! Each weekly winner is determined by combining the poll winner here with votes from the WGEM and Herald-Whig sports departments. The winner is announced each Tuesday morning on the show. Who should be this week's WGEM SC and Hannibal Regional Prep Athlete of the Week?

  • Sidney Miller (Knox Co.) – She was part of an early long range attack, hitting four 3-pointers and leading the Eagles with 19 points in their district title game victory over Scotland County. (40%, 260 Votes)
  • Jada Summers (Monroe City) – The senior scored the winning basket in the semifinals, and led them to the district title with 36 points and 20 rebounds in the title game win over Palmyra. (33%, 214 Votes)
  • Drake Hammel (West Hancock) – He led a closing run by the Titans Friday and finished with 21 points to knock off Monmouth-Roseville for the 2A regional championship. (15%, 99 Votes)
  • C.E. Talton (Monroe City) – His game-high 28 points led the way to a fairly easy district title game win over Centralia on their home floor. (6%, 41 Votes)
  • Jaeden Smith (QHS) – Thanks to 19 of 20 shooting at the free throw line, Smith had 28 points to lead the Blue Devils to a regular season capping win at Galesburg. (5%, 35 Votes)
