Knights of Columbus fish fries benefit local food pantries

With Ash Wednesday marking the start of Lent, fish fries are back now.

The Knights of Columbus in Quincy held their first fish fry of the year Wednesday evening.

Officials said hundreds show up for their all you can eat buffet.

They said most of the money raised will be given to local food pantries in the area.

“That’s what the nights of Columbus is here for is to help out those who are perhaps a little less fortunate than others. It’s what we do,” said Kevin Venvertloh with the Knights.

The Knights will have fish fries every Friday until Easter at 5 p.m.
