Do you want to get involved in health and safety programs for children across the area?
The Safe Kids Adams County Coalition is looking for six interested people to be involved in the efforts.
The group meets four times a year at the Adams County Health Department to keep kids safe and parents informed.
Officials say the coalition has more than 20 members already that create safety workshops, car-set check ups, and other evidenced based programs that keep kids in the area safe.
Most of the members are first responders, social workers, or parents.
“One of our main goals for safe kids is to provide safety for children when it comes to car seats, fire, poison control, pedestrian, bicycle helmets, and drownings,” Safe Kids Coordinator Pam Porter said.
The group is looking for fresh ideas and if you are interested they say they have a spot for you.
