Wildcats sign Quincy player to Esport team

QUINCY (WGEM) — The Esport program at Culver-Stockton college is really starting to pick up steam as the Wildcats sign another recruit to join their ranks in the years ahead.

16-year-old Matthew Farlow signed his national letter of intent Wednesday afternoon just after 3 pm.

Farlow, of Quincy, is one of the best at playing Overwatch and a transfer from John Wood Community College.

Wildcats Esports Head Coach Michael Jones said “Matthew is an excellent player, very high-level rank, solo in the game. But more importantly, we had some team tryouts with him and he really has a high-level understanding of the game and is an excellent leader in game. I think I was most impressed by his level of communication and his ability to quickly asses changing situations in the game.”
