Despite today’s high winds, the Hannibal Pirates baseball team continued to work on preparing for the upcoming season, both indoors and outdoors earlier today in America’s hometown.

Head Coach Ian Hatton has HHS going all out, without any excuse, in his second season at the helm of the HHS baseball program.

Coming off an impressive (16-7) slate last year, in 2019, the Pirates will have 4 returning starters in their line-up this season.

Unfortunately, none of those returners are pitchers.

But despite that fact, coming off the best season in program history, this squad is confident they’ll compete, and win, as they set their sights high on the diamond.

Coach Hatton stated, “There’s no question we fully expect to be competing for a conference championship and district championship this year.”

The coach went on to add, “With us moving back down to Class 4, and going into the St. Louis area, I think we’re going to have a great shot to compete in the district.”
