Job fair brings more than 50 employers to Hannibal

Do you know anyone looking for a job?

The Hannibal Area Job Fair will be held Tuesday, March 26 from noon til 3 p.m. at the American Legion Post 55, located at 3819 Hwy Mm in Hannibal.

More than 50 employers are set to attend the fair and organizers say people attending should dress for an interview and bring a resume.

The Beth Haven Retirement Community is one of the companies attending the fair to look for nurse assistants and aides.

CEO Paul Ewert said they are looking for people with a good attitude, who care about people.

The Hannibal Chamber of Commerce said the fair is an opportunity to meet with multiple employers in person.

“That’s what we’re here to do, is to help those people connect with employers and help them connect with the services they need to reach their employment goals,” Executive Director McKenzie Disselhorst said.

The job fair was originally set to be held at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center but was change due to concerns over rising river levels.
