Hundreds showed up for the first-ever Big River Steampunk Spring Faire which kicked off Saturday at the Mark Twain Brewery in Hannibal.
Organizers said the event is a companion to the Big River Steampunk Festival in the fall.
It includes vendors, live shows, and workshops for attendees who dressed up in Victorian sci-fi costumes for the event.
Flooding forced organizers to change the venue for the event last minute.
“This was something that was pulled together from now starting 3 p.m. Friday, we managed to get everybody re-located, pull everything together, have all the logistics figured out, it’s really something else so I can’t thank them enough,” said Big River Steampunk Co-Founder Ken Marks.
The event continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., tickets are $15 at the door.
