QUINCY, (WGEM) — Republican Jason Finney won the third ward race against Democrat Joel Logue says he’s excited for this next chapter.
He says this campaign season has been a family effort with his wife and kids playing a big role in his win Tuesday night.
However, he says it’s going to be all business when he takes over in about four weeks, with infrastructure being on the top of his to-do list for his ward
“I’d like to see our streets and our sewers get fixed,” said Finney. “Right now it’s been the biggest complaint we’ve had so far. So that’s something I’d like to tackle the worst areas first and then work our way down the list.”
Finney will fill the seat of Paul Havermale who chose not to run for another term.
Finney joins Republican Tom Ernst to represent the third ward.
