Quincy Brewing Company started construction on the storefronts of three buildings along 6th street in downtown Quincy.

Josh and Tieraney Craig started the project last fall, which included renovating five apartments upstairs and now, building a brewery on the first floor.

Crews are working on the facade, interior and beer garden– something the owners said will add to Quincy’s 6th Street Promenade.

“We obviously picked this location for a reason,” Josh Craig said. “We feel this is an up and coming area in Quincy with the 6th street promenade. We’re trying to create a destination where people can come and not only support us, but support the local shops and just be a fun place to hangout.”

Craig said he plans to finish the apartments by May, with the brewery to follow in October or November.
