Quincy Fire Department will continue fire hydrant flushing next week.

Crews will flush the hydrants in order to perform flow testing.

They said you might experience a loss in water pressure and some discoloration in your water for a short period of time after the testing.

“The test on the hydrant usually takes just a couple of minutes if that on the hydrants they’re testing but yeah it may stir up some sediment that’s in the line so there may be some cloudiness to the water that they may notice but that should settle out fairly quickly,” said Capt. Thurman Munger.

Munger said they are doing flow testing the rest of this month and next month.
