It was a very warm day with highs in the upper 70s and 80s! Clouds will continue to build in this evening ahead of our next storm system. Overnight lows in the upper 50s near 60.
The low-level jet will bring southerly winds and moisture overnight. This will mix with an upper-level disturbance during the morning, which will bring our first round of showers and storms. So, for your morning commute have the umbrellas ready for scattered showers and possible storms. During the middle of the day it will be dry with mostly cloudy skies. Our second round of showers/storms will be when a cold front slides through during the evening. Models are not showing great development long the cold front, so if showers/storms develop we are not expecting them to be strong nor severe. Highs in the upper 70s with winds gusting up to 25 mph from the south. Overnight lows in the 50s.
A cooler day on Tuesday with highs in the lower 60s. Keeping the day dry with mostly cloudy skies. However, the southern stretch of the Tri-States have a slight chance for showers during the afternoon and evening.
Temperatures start to rebound back to the upper 60s and 70s the rest of the week.
