Nursing shortage spurs job fair at Good Samaritan Home

A nationwide nursing shortage is now starting to hit close to home.

Quincy’s Good Samaritan Home held a job fair on Wednesday in hopes of finding applicants for 20 open positions.

Those positions range from RN’s, LPN’s, to CNA’s. Officials with Good Samaritan Home say their ability to provide quality care relies on their staff.

“We’re lucky it hasn’t affected staffing levels yet but it’s definitely something we’re thinking about as we long term plan as to how we are going to handle the effects of this, if it continues,” said Director of Development and Public Relations Burgundy Ramsey.
