Hannibal neighbors arrested following altercation

HANNIBAL (WGEM) — Lt. John Zerbonia of the Hannibal Police Department has reported the arrest of two Hannibal neighbors following a an altercation in which shots were fired.

Zerbonia stated that on Tuesday at 7:21 p.m. officers received a call of shots fired in the 1200 block of Center St.

When officers arrived, they learned Damien McCulley, 21, of Hannibal, had gotten into an altercation with his neighbors.

Zerbonia stated that during the altercation McCulley retrieved a shotgun from his residence and discharged it. No one was injured during the incident. McCulley was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon and Armed Criminal Action.

Also arrested was Randy Mason, 30, of Hannibal, for Tampering of Physical Evidence.

McCulley was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Marion County Jail. Mason was released pending prosecutor review.
