On this wet and rainy Tuesday, The WGEM Sports Team had a chance to go indoors earlier today with a multitude of National Letter of Intent (NLI) signings taking place across

the Tri-States’. One of the signings took place at 2:30 this afternoon at Palmyra High School.

That’s where prep basketball standout Bill Nunnelly, Jr. signed his NLI with Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri.

The multi-talented point guard was one of the top performers on the prep hardwood in the the “Show Me State” this past season.

The All-District and 2nd Team All-Clarence Cannon Conference performer shot 52 % from the field during the 2018-19 season.

Nunnelly averaged 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game with the Panthers.

Now Nunnelly is set to join the ranks of the Wildcats next season on “The Hill!”

“I like the environment, the hill is cool, I like all the people there too and all the Culver-Stockton Basketball players they’re cool too.”

Nunnelly went on to add, “They just treat me like I was their little brother when I was there like they had my back.”
