Five Adams County inmates allegedly conspire to escape jail

QUINCY (WGEM) — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office has reported new charges for five inmates in connection to an investigation that they were conspiring to escape the county jail.

The sheriff’s office stated that on Wednesday they received information that several inmates were conspiring to escape from the Adams County Jail.

The sheriff’s office stated that five inmates were identified and charged with Attempted Escape, Conspiracy and Criminal Damage to Government Supported Property.

The five inmates charged are:

Brian Dyer ($100,000 bond

Patrick Lambert ($15,000 bond)

Cody Felker ($7,500 bond)

William Brewer ($7,500 Bond)

Jeffrey Schmidt ($7,500 bond)

The sheriff’s office reported that all five inmates will have a first court appearance on Monday.
