Shuttles set to bring people downtown for Chris Janson concert due to flooded parking

Hannibal tourism officials said the Chris Janson concert Saturday night at Tanyard Gardens in Hannibal has sold around 90% of the tickets available online as of Friday morning– but parking could be a problem.

Tourism officials said while the venue itself is protected by the flood wall, parking areas nearby are not. That’s why the Convention and Visitors Bureau is bringing in shuttles to help people get around.

“The Bicentennial committee made a very proactive approach to parking, so we actually have free shuttles, we have several different parking areas of course folks can find a place downtown but the Hannibal-LaGrange University fine arts center lot, as well as the Hannibal Middle School lot will have shuttles running from those locations,” said HCVB Assistant Director Megan Rapp.

The concert starts at 7 p.m but officials said shuttles will start at 5 a.m. and run until midnight.
