Edina Police release photos of card skimmer suspects

EDINA, MO (WGEM) — Edina Police have released photos of individuals believed to be involved in an incidence where credit/debit card information was lifted from a card skimmer at an Edina, Missouri, gas station and later used to make purchases.

The photos show two suspects allegedly using stolen credit card information to make purchases.

Anyone with information about the individuals in these photos are asked to call the Edina Police Department or other law enforcement near them.

The skimmers were originally discovered last Tuesday at the Yesway gas station at 100 S 1st St.

Police Chief Ryan Bishop said the skimmers were discovered by a technician who was called to fix the machine and found a skimmer inside. He said two skimmers in total were found on one pump, one on each side.

Bishop said fraudulent transactions with the skimmed cards have already been reported at several locations in Missouri including Kirksville, Columbia, Jefferson City and Lake of the Ozarks.

Bishop said if you notice fraudulent transactions to immediately contact your financial institution and have it flagged and then contact the Edina Police Department at 660-397-3251.
