A solar farm could soon be coming to Adams County.
At Tuesday’s Adams County Board meeting, members discussed a solar farm application by SolAmerica Energy.
County officials say the company is wanting to put the solar farm near JM Huber on the south side of town.
But with this being the first solar farm application, the process is a new one for the county.
“I’m not sure if it’s really a huge benefit to the county but it’s certainly not a negative either,” said Adams County Board Chairman Les Post. “I assume there will be some tax money generated from it.”
A public informational meeting will be held Thursday, May 23rd at the Adams County Courthouse to learn more about the project.
