Macomb Bombers Baseball Duo Sign National Letters Of Intent On Wednesday

Another exciting National Signing Day ceremony place this afternoon in the heart of Bombers Country.

That’s where Macomb High baseball standout’s Ben Higgins and Dylan Wetterling signed National Letters of Intent just after 3:30 p.m.

The two seniors were in the spot-light at the CT Vivian Library with family, friends, teammates, and coaches looking on.

Higgins is a 5-foot-10 centerfielder with the Bombers who is now set to continue playing hardball in the college ranks at Carl Sandburg College In Galesburg, Illinois.

Ben was also a point guard on the MHS basketball team. Currently he’s undecided on his major in college.

Wetterling is a Bombers Pitcher of note who is now ready to take his talents to Greenville University in Greenville, Illinois. Dylan plans to major in Biology and Exercise Science.

After the signing ceremony came to a close, both young men offered some insight on why they selected their respective school’s.

Dylan stated, “The faith and the happiness of everyone around. You know, I know everyday I’ll always have a ton of people with upbeat attitudes.”

He went on to add, “It’s just going to be something to look forward to.”

Ben stated, “Well, you know it was close to home and I know quite a few people who go there so it felt close knit.”
