Near-record high temperatures expected today

Very warm conditions are in the forecast today. The forecast high is 89F, approaching Quincy’s record high of 92F for this date, set in 1944.

Lots of sunshine expected today with the possibility of a stray thunderstorm rolling in, otherwise warm and humid conditions expected with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s and dew points in the low to mid 60s making it feel very muggy.

Mostly clear and warm overnight lows in the mid to upper 60s are expected with increasing clouds later in the day Friday. Warm temps expected to continue on Friday, but not quite as warm, with highs in the mid 80s.

Thunderstorms become likely on Saturday and Saturday night and may possibly be on the strong side with heavy rain at times. The thunderstorm chances continue into Sunday morning with cooler highs expected Sunday in the mid to upper 60s.

Partly cloudy skies with a few thunderstorm chances expected next week with temps in the low to mid 70s.
