Hannibal set to start budget process

The city of Hannibal is set to begin its budget process.

Tuesday night, city council set the budget process schedule.

A budget workshop will take place at the beginning of June. There will be a public hearing before the second June city council meeting. A final vote on the budget is set for the first July city council meeting.

Also at Tuesday’s city council meeting:

  • Council approved the bicentennial parade to take place June 22nd which will feature Budweiser’s Clydesdales.
  • They approved destruction of old documents.
  • And the city council directed the city attorney to set up an ordinance for a historic district development commission.
