Bluff City Theater’s summer camp in Hannibal returns

With the kids getting out of school soon, it’s time to start thinking about summer activities to keep them occupied on their time off.

One option is Hannibal’s Bluff City Theater’s, who is teaming up with Parks and Recreation and the Youth Education in Theater Initiative for their two summer camps for ages 5 to 7 and 8 to 12. The younger group will learn about nature by the Mississippi, while the older group will focus on folklore and history in Hannibal– both are focusing on Hannibal for the bicentennial.

“With Hannibal’s bicentennial we’re using that as the theme, I’ve done these camps for three summers in a row and they’re always a little bit different, for the 5 to seven year olds I like adding some sort of nature element to that,” said Gale Rublee, Bluff City Theater YETI Program Coordinator.

The younger group will run June 17th through 21st and cost $69 for enrollment, while the older group will be held July 15th to 19th and cost $79. Financial assistance could be available.

You can pick up forms for sign up from Bluff City Theater, at the Hannibal Parks and Recreation office or email
