Some clearing skies tonight, warmer 80s for Wednesday

The heavy showers and storms Have ended as the weather system responsible continues to track away from the Tri-States.

The WGEM viewing area has seen on average nearly 2 inches of rainfall over the past 48 hours according to Doppler radar observations.

Skies will be clearing behind the system tonight.  Lows will be in the 50s.

Mostly sunny and warmer for Wednesday with temperatures expected to climb into the 80s!

Some more showers and storms are in the forecast for Wednesday night and an isolated severe storm chance will be possible then.

Later this week more river flooding issues are expected to return to the Tri-States.

Unsettled weather is in the forecast for the coming Memorial Day holiday weekend with more shower and storm chances on tap.
