If you’re looking for a way to fight the heat this Memorial Day weekend, the Hannibal Aquatic Center has got you covered.
Hannibal Parks and Recreation officials said they’re all set for the reopening for the season Saturday, with hours noon to 6 p.m. seven days a week all summer long.
They said safety is a number one priority which is why they partnered with the Hannibal YMCA to get their life guards trained early.
“Usually our lifeguards are up here [at the aquatic center] trying to find a good weather day, and we have to postpone, but this year our lifeguards trained at the Hannibal Y, it was a really good partnership and we were able to do it despite the bad weather,” said Hannibal Parks and Recreation official Mary Lynne Richards.
Admission is $3 for kids ages 3 to 17, and $5 for adults, punch cards are available.
