WEST QUINCY, MO (WGEM) – West Quincy, Missouri, was placed under a mandatory evacuation order Thursday night, according to Marion County Emergency Management Director John Hark.
The order was put into place just after 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
Marion County Emergency Management Director John Hark told WGEM News that the Durgens Creek Levee north of West Quincy was being eroded and if it was breached, water from that levee would reach West Quincy.
At approximately 8 p.m. Thursday night Adams County Emergency Management closed the Bayview Bridge at the request of Missouri officials so that traffic could evacuate West Quincy.
