New details on Quincy daycare operator arrested for Aggravated Battery

QUINCY (WGEM) — A bill of indictment filed against a former home day care operator in Quincy gives more information on what led to the charges.

On Wednesday, the Quincy Police Department reported the arrest of Susan Tresch, 65, who was arrested for two felony counts of Aggravated Battery to a Child.

The indictment alleges that on February 16th, 2018, Tresch knowingly caused bodily harm to a child under the age of 13. It alleges that she grabbed the child by the left forearm and pulled her arm at an angle causing a fracture just below the left elbow.

QPD reported that the investigation began in February after police and DCFS were notified that a child had been injured at Tresch’s residence, which had been operating as a daycare at the time.
