QUINCY, IL (WGEM) Quincy-based manufacturer GatesAir has acquired Italian manufacturer ONEtastic, according to a news release from GatesAir.
ONEtastic is based in Brescia, Italy, and is described as a leading provider of television and digital radio transmission systems.
GatesAir officials state the acquisition strengthens the company’s growing presence and visibility in Europe.

Swail, CEO of GatesAir. “The unique, innovative and award-winning products and technologies from ONEtastic add new capabilities to our portfolio and complement our transmission and transport platforms. The addition of an experienced and highly talented research, development and services team from ONEtastic further expands our world-class engineering and support expertise to create new innovations for the broadcast segment and beyond. Their central European Union location strengthens our International footprint and commitment to global growth.”
GatesAir will retain the entire ONEtastic team and facility in Italy, but the name will change.

GatesAir has had a presence in Quincy since it was founded in 1922. Currently, the company’s manufacturing center is in Quincy, while the research, development, and innovation facilities are in Mason, Ohio.
