QPS teachers reflect on the school year at assembly

QUINCY (WGEM) — Quincy Public School students wrapped up Wednesday and the teachers had their final assembly of the year Thursday.

Superintendent Roy Webb recognized the goals each school reached over the past year and handed out awards to teachers and staff.

The district ended later than expected this year thanks to all the snow days, but Webb said it was good to reflect on all the accomplishments.

“They had a heck of a year. All the transitions, the new schools, the new boundaries, the new bus routes, the new classrooms, and new teams. They worked hard and we wanted to celebrate that success today,” said Webb.

The district also recognized teachers and staff who will be retiring this year.
