A group of mentors were recognized Friday for their dedication to students in the Quincy Public School District.
These volunteers partner with Quincy Public Schools and the QPS Foundation to help students throughout the school year.
Mentors are there to help students and be a guiding figure for them.
“Some students don’t have that figure at home, and so this program becomes extremely important to provide that extra bit of contact for that student,” said Kent Embree, QPS Foundation Executive Director.
Mentors were served lunch at the event and were recognized for all they do to help students succeed.
