Traffic stop results in two meth arrests in Bushnell

BUSHNELL (WGEM) — McDonough County Sheriff Nick Petitgout has reported the arrest of two Bushnell, Illinois, residents for possession of Methamphetamine and paraphernalia.

Petitgout stated that Robert Dieterich, 29, and Jenna Taylor, 25, were arrested Sunday following a traffic stop for an insurance violation.

Petitgout reported that a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle Taylor was operating in Bushnell for an insurance violation. Taylor failed to stop for the deputy for several blocks before stopping in the driveway of a residence.

During the investigation of the stop Dieterich was found to be in possession of nunchucks and is a convicted felon. After a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, deputies located approximately 4.5 grams of Ice Methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, and digital scales.

Taylor is additionally charged with several traffic violations.

Dieterich is additionally charged with unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Deputies were assisted by the Bushnell Police Department.
