QUINCY (WGEM) — Kunes Country presented the Great River Honor Flight with a $4,000 check Monday to help send more veterans to Washington D.C. to see their war memorials.
The donation was a portion of the dealership’s car sales in May.
Kunes Country’s general manager, Jason Buxman, said a group of employees voted to decide the charity, and Honor Flight was an easy choice.
“Without their sacrifice, none of us would have any of the things that we have today,” said Buxman. “Family members that are in the military, been in the military, and it was just a no-brainer for us to be affiliated with such a class-act organization.”
According to an Honor Flight official, the money donated should be able to send at least ten veterans to Washington D.C.
