Keokuk man arrested for delivery of meth

KEOKUK (WGEM) — Police say a Keokuk man was arrested on June 24 in Ft. Madison, Iowa, on felony drug charges.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force Unit Commander Jay Whitaker reported that Russell Hymes, 61 has been charged with delivery of less than five grams of methamphetamine a class C felony.

Whitaker stated that Hymes arrest was the result of an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that he was involved in the distribution of illegal drugs in the Lee County area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.
