A weak trough of low pressure tracked across the area earlier this afternoon with some associated cloud cover.
Temperatures were in the 80s today, but are now cooling into the 70s in many spots already this evening with quiet weather on tap.
Friday’s weather picture will be really nice with pleasant weather, tons of sun, and temperatures back in the 80s for highs.
For the weekend, while it is looking dry right now, the heat and humidity will be back with highs near 90 each afternoon in the forecast.
Tropical Storm Barry is set to pummel parts of the north central Gulf Coast with storm surge, very heavy rainfall, river flooding, tornadoes.
As of Thursday evening, Barry is expected to reach hurricane strength wind levels some time late Friday or early Saturday.
