Quincy Gems Prepare For A Big Four Game Stretch In The Prospect League

The Gems posted their second win in a row Wednesday night by beating the Hoots 11-7 at QU Stadium.

The Gems jumped out to an early 3 run lead in the first inning and later scored 4 runs in the top of the 6th.

Quincy scored 2 additional runs in the 8th inning to improve their record to (20-18).

Quincy had 13 hits in the night Six of those hits were home runs.

Tonight on the road, Quincy skipper Pat Robles will send Ty Peccioli to the mound against the first place Cape Catfish. The Gems will host the Catfish on Friday.

Saturday and Sunday the Gems face Danville at QU Stadium. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.

Before the Gems hit the road, Robles offered a few thoughts on the road ahead for his team.

“Two first place teams, in each division you know, the east and the west.”

He went on to add, “These next 4 games I think it’s gonna see what we are really about really and how well we’re going to execute and the things we gotta do to win

these ball games.”
