QUINCY – A new pet adoption center opened at the Quincy Mall Saturday afternoon.

According to Homeward Bound Waggin’ president Ronna Robertson, the goal is to give animals a second chance to find their forever home.

She said the more animals they can find homes for, the more they can help.

“We can’t take in all the animals that we’re asked to take in on a daily basis so, the more we can find homes the more we can take,” Robertson said.

Located at the end of the mall by the children’s play area, the adoption center will be open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m..

Robertson said there’s already pile of adoption papers
