ATV crash sends 9-year-old and grandmother to hospital

KAHOKA, MO (WGEM) — An ATV crash northeast of Kahoka, Missouri, sent a 9-year-old girl and her 59-year-old grandmother to the hospital on Sunday.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report a 9-year old girl of Kahoka was driving a 2013 Polaris Ranger Sunday morning when she struck a fence post and the vehicle overturned, ejecting all occupants.

The driver’s sister, also 9-years old, was transported to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries. Also on the ATV was the driver’s grandmother, Terry Matlock, 59, of Kahoka, who was transported to Blessing Hospital with minor injuries.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop B, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Clark County Ambulance and Air Evac all responded to the scene.
