DONNELLSON – The Lee County Fair wrapped up Monday afternoon with livestock auction.
Although there wasn’t much left of the fairgrounds on Monday, organizers say it was a record year.
Organizers said Friday night’s monster truck event was one of the highest attended events in the fair’s history.
Lee County Fair Board president Brock Westfall said the success of the fair comes from it’s variety of events.
“We see a lot of families come every night and that’s great but we try to have a different variety of stuff every week,” he said. “I would like to say attendence was the best it’s ever been.”
Westfall said they’re getting ready to set the dates for next years fair and encourages everyone to come out again next year.
