With the 2020 census 8 months away, Quincy city leaders are getting together to make sure everyone gets counted.
The ‘Complete Count Committee’ met Tuesday to discuss ways to reach Quincy residents who may not have responded to previous census counts.
City officials say the some of the response rates are in the 80 percentile, others are in the 70 percentile. And they say some of the less likely to respond are millenials, the elderly, minorities and the homeless population.
The committee hopes to roll out a $74,000 advertising strategy before the census start in March of next year.
