QUINCY (WGEM) — Construction is starting to wrap up at the new Quincy Brewing Company.

The owners allowed people to come in to see the progress during Thursday’s ‘Summer on 6th’ event.

Owner Josh Craig says they’re now putting the finishing touches on the space, which includes painting the ceiling and refinishing the floors.

However, Craig says with the age of the building and the condition it was in prior to renovations, bringing it back to life has been a process.

“Honestly, one of the most interesting or fun parts is research on what it was before, the businesses that have been here before, all the way back to the 1800’s,” said Craig.

Some of the equipment is expected to be installed in the next couple weeks and Craig says they are anticipating a grand opening in October.
