2 arrested for burglary in McDonough County, 3rd suspect flees

MACOMB (WGEM) — McDonough County Sheriff Nick Petitgout has reported that a traffic stop has resulted in the arrest of a man and woman for burglary in McDonough County.

Petitgout stated that Zacory Bailey, 46, of Victoria, Illinois, and Heidi Bailey, 43, of Dahinda, Illinois, were charged with Burglary, Possession of Burglary Tools and Theft over $500.

Zacory was additionally charged with Aggravated Driving with a Revoked License and Heidi was additionally charged with Obstructing Justice.

Petitgout reported that on Thursday at 2:40 a.m. a deputy noticed a suspicious tan Chevrolet pickup truck  in the area of East 1000th Street and North 2300th Road.

Deputies stopped the truck  for a lane and a registration violation. The deputy also observed several tools and antiques in the bed of the truck.

Both Zacory and Heidi provided the deputy with false names. As a result both were detained and deputies placed Zacory under arrest after learning that his license was revoked.

Petitgout reported that a third female subject, identified as Tanya Morris, 33, of Peoria, Illinois, had fled the scene of the traffic stop. Deputies were not able to locate her and a warrant was issued for her arrest.

Upon further investigation detectives were able to locate several out buildings that were burglarized on East 900th Street in the 2300 block. Several other counties in the area have had similar burglaries.
