QUINCY – It was pups on parade Saturday at the Quincy Mall as people and their furry friends enjoyed peanut butter licking competitions, musical sit contests, raffles and a silent auction at the annual Homeward Bound Waggin’s Dog Days of Summer fundraiser.

Homeward Bound helps rescue animals find their forever homes.

Amy Bandy said Homeward Bound rescued her dog, Kino, from a meth home.

“When we brought him home we carried him through doorways because he would not walk on his own,” she said. “Without that rescue he wouldn’t be here today.”

Bandy said Kino has come a long way since then.

He and Bandy won the first place in the best in rescue and the best trick contests.
