Racing takes center stage at the Marion County fair as riders of all ages get in on the competition.
Wednesday night, racers were on 4 wheelers at the track in Palmyra, Missouri.
Racers said the crews that set up the track do a great job challenging them but making sure it’s a fun time.
They said the Marion County Fair race is one of the better fair races held in the area.
“Buffy has been having this over here for a really long time ever since I was riding little bikes. It’s a lot of fun and draws a really nice crowd. The pay is pretty well here and of all the fair races, this is one of the ones a lot of people want to hit so you’re going to see a lot of good racing out there,” said racer Travis Merrill.
Thursday night, the motorcross competition will take place. Practice gets underway at 6:30 p.m. with the races starting at 8 p.m.
