When kids head back to class at the middle school in Palmyra, they’ll be eating lunch in an upgraded cafeteria
Renovations on the kitchen started just after school let out for the summer.
The renovations are part of a 43.5 million bond issue voters passed earlier this year.
The middle school principal said the new kitchen will make serving breakfast and lunch a lot easier for the staff.
“For them to actually have the space where they can have different areas to work in and not be bumping into each other the whole time and actually have new equipment that’s always going to work is going to be really great for our staff,” said middle school principal Steven Kerr.
Kerr said the kitchen renovations will be complete next week just in time for school which starts the following week.
