Quincy man arrested for sharing child pornography through social media

QUINCY (WGEM) — EDITOR’S NOTE: On Thursday the Quincy Police Department issued the following correction. “The arrest warrant for Nicholas Bliven for 2 counts of Child Pornography  was filed as an “Information” after independent review by a member of the Adams County State’s Attorney’s office, and not as a “Bill of Indictment” from presentation to an Adams County Grand Jury as previously reported.”

A 22-year-old Quincy man was arrested on Monday on two counts of child pornography.

Police records indicate that Nicholas Bliven turned himself in on an outstanding warrant at the Adams County Courthouse Monday.

Bliven was released on a $2,500 cash bond pending his next court date.

Police records show that on November 19, 2018, Quincy Police began an investigation into the sharing of Child Pornography through social media. During the investigation, Bliven was identified as the suspect.
