A stretch of quiet weather is underway as surface high pressure settles into the Tri-States behind a departing cool front that brought us some storms last night as it tracked through.
Generally clear skies, quiet conditions, and light winds are expected for Tuesday night with seasonable lows in the middle 60s.
Wednesday is looking quite nice with some sun and clouds in the skies and temperatures in the lower 80s for high temperatures in many spots.
Dew point values will also be decreasing a bit so that will result in it feeling a little less muggy out there.
Thursday will be another pretty day with more low 80s for highs and very nice conditions with the less muggy air mass continuing to stay in place.
By Thursday night, the first of several disturbances / weather features will track
into the Tri-States bringing shower and thunderstorm chances back to the area.
The scattered shower and storm chances will continue on into this weekend.
Temperatures are likely to jump a few degrees this weekend along with the humidity levels as we tap into a nice flow of Gulf moisture surging northward into the the WGEM viewing area.
