Registration still open for Moonlight Ride for Hunger

QUINCY (WGEM) — There is still time to sign-up for the Moonlight Ride for Hunger happening this Saturday.

The ride will start at 8 p.m. where you have the opportunity to ride your bike across both bridges in Quincy on a 4 mile route or two longer routes across town. All riders must where a helmet and have lights on the front and back of their bikes. This event will benefit Horizons Soup Kitchen, a local food pantry in Quincy.

“Horizons helps the hungry,” said Bob Daly, Moonlight Ride for Hunger Chairman. “You know, for those people that get short on money and they have kids that they need to feed. Horizons has great meals, really hot, well-balanced meals.”

Organizers said every paying adult that signs up, a child ages 10 to 15 can ride for free with a canned good.
